Royal Dux Porcelain Polar Bear 1940s

A beautiful ice white polar bear made from porcelain. A wonderful character, the perfect addition for your maximalist interior scheme.

Wonderful colour detailing on the paws and a lovely wavy texture in the fur. 

This piece has a Royal Dux Bohemia triangle stamp with the letter D which signifies this particular piece was created in the late 1940s. 

Royal Dux is an abbreviation for Duxer Porzellanmanufaktur, Dux Porcelain Manufactory which started in 1860 by Eduard Eichler in what was then Duchov Bohemia. The high quality pottery and porcelain figures produced there are now referred to as Royal Dux.
